Effective July 1, 2017 Monique Gregoire has been named Vice President of Finance at American Solutions for Business (ASB). Initially hired as Controller in 2015, Gregoire moved quickly into the role of Executive Director of Finance a year ago. In her role as Vice President, she will be responsible for the analysis, interpretation and communication of the fiscal operations of ASB and to provide information and guidance to other leaders and board members.

Gregoire holds a Bachelor's degree in Financial Management and a Master's in Business Administration from St. Thomas University of St. Paul, Minnesota. She was employed for 13 years by Minneapolis-based Valspar, a global leader in the coatings industry. Gregoire was a member of the Valspar Finance Department, serving as Finance Manager. She and her husband live in Alexandria, Minnesota with their two young children.

The magazine recognized 60 companies based on employee responses to an online survey that focused on engagement, effectiveness, leadership, ethics, pay, benefits, training and work/life balance.

The Board of Directors of American Solutions for Business (ASB) named Justin Zavadil President of the company, effective immediately. Zavadil has been an ASB Sales Representative, served as the Director of Vendor Relations, Vice President of Sales and most recently was the Executive Vice President.
Zavadil grew up in the print industry. His father, Larry Zavadil, is the founder and CEO of the Glenwood, Minnesota-based company. In his youth, the younger Zavadil spent summers in the mailroom, at the warehouse or providing on-site maintenance for the growing company. A graduate of the University of Minnesota, he worked in the real estate business prior to becoming a sales associate in the Minneapolis market.
In his new role, Zavadil will manage the Senior Leadership Team and the following Home Office Departments: Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Strategic Operations Support, Marketing, Vendor Relations and Vertical Markets (GPO, Automotive, Financial, Retail, Franchise).

Larry Zavadil will continue in his current role as CEO, working closely with a team of seven individuals, focusing on top line sales growth, recruitment, retention, acquisitions and transitions.

American
Solutions for Business (ASB) recently announced the opening of an 8,000
square-foot office space in Las Colinas, Texas. The business hub will house
eight ASB Sales Associates and office personnel along with employees and staff
from Mojo Media Labs, an ASB business partner, who will share the leased space.
Mojo Media Labs is a leading inbound marketing and sales agency that combines
scientific inbound strategy with creative content marketing.
In addition to offices, the tenth floor facility features
an idea center and three conference rooms, designed with video conferencing and
wireless projection capabilities. The facility will provide more opportunities
for education and interaction among associates, clients and
suppliers.
Sarah Thomas, ASB's Director of Vertical Markets,
is part of the Los Colinas business hub. She explained the team's commitment to
education: "Each month we plan to hold Lunch & Learn sessions during

Effective October 3, 2016, American Solutions for Business (ASB) announced the acquisition of Peter Kleine Company of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The group is a 30-year-old nationally recognized leader in the promotional products and incentive awards business, serving a client base of over 200. Financial details of the acquisition were not released.
The team is made up of approximately twelve employees and will continue to do business from their 36,000 square foot office/warehouse facility located in Lititz, Pennsylvania, while maintaining their identity as Peter Kleine Company, a division of American Solutions for Business. Eric Sheron and Michael Tornvall, partners in ASB's King of Prussia location, will be managing the operations for the business center. Peter Kleine, the former owner, will remain with the company and play an active role in driving future direction, along with Sheron and Tornvall.

Kathryn 'Katie' Hallstrom was recently promoted to Vice President of Human Resources at American Solutions for Business (ASB). Hallstrom holds a degree in Business Administration from Southwest Minnesota State University and has over 26 years of experience in Human Resources and Business Administration, serving in various industries and capacities.
For the past five years, Hallstrom has served in the company's Human Resource Department, most recently as its Executive Director and member of the company's Senior Leadership Team. Recently, she obtained certification for senior-level professionals through SHRM, the Society for Human Resource Management, the world's oldest HR association. Hallstrom works with ASB's nationwide sales force, the home office staff and individuals from satellite offices across the country.

American Solutions for Business (ASB) announces record growth of over 15 percent for its fiscal year ending June 30, 2016. In the past four years, the company has seen a compound annual growth rate in excess of 10 percent during this period.
In fiscal year 2015-2016, ASB experienced growth in all areas, with promotional products and printing leading the way. "We’ve continued our investment in key vertical markets which has also added to the growth we’ve seen in the past year," said Justin Zavadil, Executive Vice President. Larry Zavadil and Justin Zavadil, father and son executives from American Solutions for Business, have been named to the 2015 Power 50, a listing of prominent executives in the advertising specialty market. The Power 50 was published in Counselor magazine's December issue with the statement: "These are the movers and shakers of the ad specialty market, helping to set the industry's agenda at the same time as being influential and successful players."
While the ad specialty market grew approximately four percent in 2015, American Solutions for Business has seen double digit growth for the same period.

Eric
Gorghuber has been named IT Senior Director at American Solutions for Business,
effective December 21, 2015. Having joined the company in 2011, Gorghuber has
held a key role in bringing the PeopleSoft application to a stable and reliable
state for ASB. In addition, he was instrumental in implementing the stakeholder
based roadmap process and has strengthened partnerships within the areas he
serves.

profitable growth over the next three to five years, this change will fully

As American Solutions for Business (American) approaches the end of its fiscal year in June, the company reports a 10 percent increase in invoiced sales over the same 10-month period last year, while the general trend for industry distributors is just over five percent.
Over 95 percent of American’s totals are derived from sales of printed products and promotional items. The print industry realized only a two percent growth in 2014, according to a report from Print Industries of America, a company that specializes in advocacy, education and research for the print industry. However, current trends are showing a more healthy increase in sales of printed products going forward. Growth in the promotional product industry has been stable at six percent per year over the past six years.
Justin Zavadil, Executive Vice President at American, sees the company's flexibility as a key to its strong growth. "A distributor needs to be able to change directions on a dime in order to fit the customers' changing needs. This is done through flexibility and innovation. American Solutions for Business announced recently that Ron Robinson has taken over as Director of Vendor Relations working from the Home Office in Glenwood, Minnesota.
Robinson has been with the company since 1994 and has experience in distribution/ fulfillment, warehouse management, program development, inside purchasing and sales, print, sourcing, office supplies and packaging solutions. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in education from St. Cloud State University.
In his new role, Robinson will be responsible for building and managing relationships with vendors who supply products and solutions to the sales force. He will collaborate with the Vendor Relations Department to promote and manage the American Partners for Progress program and will continue to enhance the value of that program for vendors and for ASB. Robinson will work as a liaison between Sales Associates and Vendors, connecting client needs and vendor strategies to develop a high level of client satisfaction. In addition, Robinson will oversee and direct the activities of the Home Office Product Support Team.

ASB staff raised $500 to support the local festival called Waterama which takes place in Glenwood, Minnesota each July. The four-day convention was held in conjunction with the Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI) Orlando show. American recently announced the acquisition of three individual companies located in Florida, Ohio and Nevada. These acquisitions were part of an expansion initiative which has continued to extend ASB’s national footprint. Financial terms of the agreements were not disclosed.

Alpha Print and Promo, located in Tallahassee, Florida, is a 30-year-old provider of business forms, full-color printing and advertising specialty products to a wide range of customers in the Southeastern U.S.
Performance Forms, Inc. was founded in 1989 and provides print, marketing and promotional products to clients in Ohio and throughout the country. Based in Solon, Ohio, Performance utilizes a network of trade suppliers to bring solutions to customers in a variety of industries, including healthcare and financial.
Allied Products of Las Vegas was founded in 1985 as a distributor of computer components but later shifted to exclusively providing print services to clients in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.

American Solutions for Business (ASB) announced today that it has been awarded a three-year group purchasing agreement with the Premier healthcare alliance, the largest healthcare alliance in the U.S. The agreement names ASB as the endorsed provider of advertising services which includes promotional products, graphic design, television and radio advertising, tradeshow booths and other items related to advertising. Kathy Whitburn, Muskego, Wisconsin, was one of 38 individuals named to Counselor magazine’s “Hot List” of industry movers and shakers. The group was honored this summer in Chicago. Whitburn was selected in the category “Right Clickers,” people who are adept at using social media in all its forms to promote their businesses and themselves.

As American Solutions for Business ended its fiscal year on June 30, 2011, the company had many reasons to be thankful. Besides marking its thirtieth year in business, American has once again returned to sustained profitability. Furthermore, American was named the nation’s number one distributor last month by Print Solutions magazine. Having successfully completed its new ERP (enterprise resource planning) system, American can once again proactively focus on sharing the American story with salespeople and companies in search of positive opportunities for change. This week, CEO Larry Zavadil announced the agreement between American and a division of Advance Business Graphics (ABG) of Mira Loma, California. The ten sales associates and support personnel joining American are located in Orange, California, Hoffman Estates, Illinois, and Irving and Bellaire, Texas. These offices have focused on the healthcare industry, credit unions and other traditional transactional business. In addition to the ten associates, five customer service individuals will make the transition to American. Employees of American Solutions for Business have been busy collecting school supplies. Last Tuesday a group of individuals delivered the supplies to the Minnewaska Area Elementary School as a way to help students and to give back to the community. The drive was organized as a collaborative effort of the American Community Stewardship Team and the Fun Committee. Each month, the company focuses on a particular charitable cause and uses a variety of methods and volunteers to support that cause. American's upcoming September effort will include raising funds to adopt a family at Christmas; in October they will conduct an observance of military servicemen and women and November's focus will revolve around fund-raising efforts to prevent child abuse.
